Freedom House Caucus member, Dave Brat represents the district just to the east of Charlottesville.  He was silent all day Saturday as the violence unfolded, finally issuing tepid statements Saturday evening that did not specifically condemn the Neo-Nazi groups’ violent role in the rally.  He used his media appearances on CNN, Fox, and MSNBC Saturday evening to compare behavior of concerned citizens at a Town Hall held earlier in the year at a church where there was limited opportunity to ask questions to the racist white supremacist attacks in his own backyard.

Virginia 07 constituents are using the written word, Dave Brat’s own words, and peaceful actions, not shields, AK47, and mace to hold our Congressman accountable.  We are educators, healthcare workers, small business owners and parents who deeply care about the country’s direction.  Look closely at these “menacing hard-left elements”.  Poor Dave Brat, so scared of a bunch of middle-aged women. Heather Heyer could have easily been one of us.  We will continue to honor her memory by carrying on our work of getting up in Dave Brat’s grill!
