He's baaack.. Andrew Anglin has put hate back on the plate.
Daily Stormer, the alt-right website, and organizing entity of racist groups in the recent “UnitetheRight” mayhem in Charlottesville, is back on the regular internet. After being rejected by Google, GoDaddy, Zoho, Twitter, Discord, and Russian and Chinese domain name registrars, and after a sojourn on Tor’s “dark web”, the Daily Stormer has found a new domain server with Namecheap, and a new DDOS protector in bitmitigate. com . Mr. Lim, the 20 year old CEO of bitmitigate, has said that he is protecting the Daily Stormer as an exercise in "free speech". Someone needs to clue Lim in that "free speech" does not include "hate speech".
As for Anglin, he's pretty clear about his mission. It is to spread
...the idea that white people, like every other race, deserve to have their own countries and that it isn’t evil to stand up and say “hey Jews, why are you replacing our populations in every white country?”
- from Anglin’s front page article in latest iteration of daily stormer (No, I’m not linking to it)
There may be some pressure that can be brought to bear on bitmitigate through their main enterprise, which is providing multiplayer game servers.
Lim is also ignoring the ethnic slurs on the Stormer's latest front page which denigrate Japanese, African-Americans, Jews, and others.
Andrew Anglin, the Stormer's founder, is rumored to be living in Germany.....or possibly Lagos. He is one of the targets of a $3 million lawsuit from people injured when his followers beat up folks and rammed a car into them in Charlottesville. Stormer takes donations in bitcoin, the preferred currency of gamers and those who must do business in the dark.
Anglin’s cause is also supported by his father, Greg Anglin, of Worthington, Ohio, who runs a Christian counseling business, although he is not a licensed counselor, and there are numerous complaints from women and clients about inappropriate contact on the business reviews of his business, the Christian Counseling Group, housed in the Morning Star Counseling Offices. This office building is also the physical registered address to send donations to Anglin’s website.
Namecheap is hosting the domain name of the site. If you are in need of domain hosting or DDOS protection, please consider NOT using bitmitigate or namecheap. If you are already using their paid services (bitmitigate offers DDOS protection free of charge), please consider dropping them — and tell them why.
