After unpopular President Donald Trump mistook the Boy Scout’s of America’s Jamboree for a Hitler youth rally, the blowback from all corners of the United States was pretty fierce. Eagle Scouts and their families were furious that Trump would be so narcissistic as to steal from a day for children and their families to serve his withering ego. Subsequently, Trump did what he does when his mouth is open—he lied and said everything was great and everybody thinks he’s great by explaining that he had received a phone call from “the head” of the Boy Scouts who said “it was the greatest speech that was ever made to them, and they were very thankful.”
"We are unaware of any such call," the Boy Scouts responded in a statement. It specified that neither of the organization's two top leaders — President Randall Stephenson and Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh — had placed such a call.
Here’s White House propaganda minister Sarah Huckabee Sanders saying a lie isn’t a lie if you lie that it’s not a lie. By the way, she’s lying.
