Special Election for ALL Citizens of Fairfax County, VA Tuesday, August 29!! VOTE VOTE VOTE
I didn’t think the VA GOP could stoop much lower than forcing Fairfax taxpayers to pay over a quarter million for special election this week for the sole purpose of guaranteeing low turnout.
I was proven wrong, again.
Here’s our Democratic candidate for Fairfax School Board. I’ll let the Washington Post’s endorsement of Family Law Attorney Karen Keys-Gamarra explain her qualifications:
Ms. Keys-Gamarra’s work as a court-appointed guardian and experience as the parent of three children who went through Fairfax schools gives her a broad perspective on challenges facing students and a special interest in wanting to tackle bullying.
She understands the importance of diversity in the school system and is committed to ensuring that students from different backgrounds have the same access to opportunity and the means to succeed.
They didn’t mention her GOP opponent's name: Chris Grisafe. He’s an entitled, perennial candidate who has NO experience with the education system. Here’s what WaPo said about him for a failed previous election:
By contrast, her Republican opponent, Chris S. Grisafe, lacks any experience or qualification for the job. Mr. Grisafe’s grasp of policy and politics is so tissue-thin that he doesn’t even mention the word “Tysons” on his campaign Web site; that alone should disqualify him.
But it’s not like Grisafe is not without his endorsers.
He has been endorsed by Resistance Media, a white supremacist outfit that looks favorably on murdeous neo-Nazis. Since Chris is a white guy, he got their “coveted” endorsement:
According to Blue Virginia, neither the VA State GOP, the Fairfax GOP, nor Chris Grisafe himself has denounced their endorsement. Color me shocked.
Yet it was the GOP, not the Nazis, that put out this dog whistle. They can’t say Chris is at all qualified—or competent—nor can they claim that Karen doesn’t run circles around him.
So they called him a “good guy”, and Karen? She’s arrogant!
That dog whistle is so loud that I can hear it. Can you?
Fairfax County already has a racist on the board with Elizabeth Schultz—another person Resistance Media loves (and she loves them right back). She’s the one who defended Trump’s sexual assault on women and has shown utter contempt for certain students. She is backing Chris Grisafe, naturally.
Fairfax County is heavily Democratic. Don’t let the GOP steal this election with a low turnout election.
VOTE! Then ask your neighbor if he/she voted, and then drive them to the polls. Let’s take our country back one election at a time. Start with this one!
