Someone will have to ask the White House press secretary whether this is part of Making America Great Again.
A new Pew Research Center poll shows 58 percent now say racism is currently a “big problem” in the United States. That's the highest that number has been since at least 1995, when The Washington Post and others began asking this specific question. [...]
Even Republicans are about as likely to see racism as a “big problem” (37 percent) as toward the end of the Obama administration (40 percent). The perception has spiked among Democrats, meanwhile.
Note, if it is not obvious, that the poll does not measure whether racism is or is not more of a "big problem" from one year to another. It just measures what percentage of Americans believe it to be.
But you'd have to be pretty damn mule-headed to watch the Klan, neo-Nazis, and their oozing allies march on Charlottesville, flags waving and guns at the ready, and think that it wasn't.
