Quinnipiac University has released their latest national US poll, and the results are even better for Democrats than before.
Voters want the Democratic Party to win the House of Representatives in 2018 by a split of 52% — 35%, a margin of +17.
Even more important in order to block any more Trump nominations to the Supreme Court and other lower courts, voters want Democrats to win the Senate by a split of 53% — 36%, the same +17 margin.
Regarding key issues that will get Dems and independents out to vote, voters favor Dreamers staying in America by an incredible 8 to 1 margin, and voters also favor not enforcing federal anti-marijuana laws by a 3 to 1 margin. Full legalization is favored by a split of 58% — 36%, including a split of 79% — 17% for voters in the 18 to 34 demo. Reefer Madness is swiftly coming to an end.
Since May 2017, this is the highest margin in favor of Democrats in Quinnipiac’s national US poll. The lowest margin for Dems was +8 in mid-October 2017. Dems were +16 in May 2017, and the last few months have shown a doubling in margin in favor of Dems, starting in mid-November 2017.
As the header image shows, voters are fully aware of the Tax Scam the GOP rammed through the Congress. In a related question, only 24% of voters think the tax plan will reduce taxes, with 33% thinking they will be raised and 37% thinking no impact. So much for all the GOP propaganda about the tax plan helping everyone.
Of course, the only poll that matters is election night, so keep the activism, donations, and GOTV plans going! And if (more like when) Trump rebounds a bit, remember that we can rebound right back, just as this ongoing national US poll has shown for the 2nd half of 2017.
