Dave Brat famously moaned early in 2017 that the women were getting up in his grill no matter where he goes. Well those women have been very, very busy. And as evidenced by his day, the grilling continues . . .
The day after giving an interview to The Daily Caller, a web publication that has posted articles by Jason Kessler, the White Supremacist who organized Charlottesville Neo-Nazi rally, Congressman Brat posted an appeal on his FB page to heed Dr. Martin Luther King's call to replace hatred and racism with love. Then he went to the VA State Senate Committee on Courts and Justice to congratulate them on not passing a Universal background check bill.
After that, he was the only member of Virginia’s Congressional delegation to address a gathering of VA Citizen’s Defense League, saying that they can prevent the “nice little blue wave of what just happened” by getting their friends to vote. And “we all believe in the right stuff. I’m going to vote for the right stuff. But I won’t be voting unless you don’t go do your legwork and get us hundreds of friends across the board.”
He then went to the Jewish Food Festival where folks spontaneously “welcomed” him.
So when the women weren’t getting in his grill, they were raising money to educate voters about Mr. Brat’s words and his votes by purchasing a small slot of real estate in Chesterfield county, which Democrat for Governor Ralph Northam surprisingly won. This billboard is running for a month, but there’s 10 months until 2018 election. Our goal is to continue on our quest to inform, cajole, and excite voters about the possibility of better representation in the moderately red district VA07. Please support our efforts to continue actions that illuminate our Congressman’s words and votes. This is a flippable district with the right combination of GOTV effort, excellent candidates, and our advocacy efforts. secure.actblue.com/...
