Breaking on MSNBC:
Mueller wants to speak with Trump in the next couple weeks about Trump’s firing of Comey and Flynn.
I would just say, I don’t think there’s an obstruction of justice case out there that would persuade the House to impeach Trump.
I think that Trump could say: “I fired Comey because he was investigating me in an area I don’t want to be investigated and thus I used my powers of the presidency to fire the cop coming after me.”
House Republicans would say; “So?”
I believe that Mueller wants to talk to Trump about these firings just to get Trump on the record about things that Mueller needs as evidence of Trump’s state of mind.
I hope that Mueller has all the evidence needed to convict on tax evasion, money-laundering and collusion, things that Mueller doesn’t give two fks about what Trump’s state of mind might have been while shredding the substantive laws.
My Best Guess.

Update:
The news is here
Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is seeking to question President Trump in the coming weeks about his decisions to oust national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James B. Comey, according to two people familiar with his plans.
Mueller’s interest in the events that led Trump to push out Flynn and Comey indicates that his investigation is intensifying its focus on possible efforts by the president or others to obstruct or blunt the special counsel’s probe.
Trump’s attorneys have crafted some negotiating terms for the president’s interview with Mueller’s team, one that could be presented to the special counsel as soon as next week, according to the two people.
