I was on the Hill yesterday when I first heard that Mike Pence said that the Stormy Daniels story of an affair with Donald Trump was baseless. This gets to be a little complicated because Stormy Daniels has also said there’s nothing to the story. But that came after she received $130,000 from a company set up by Trump fixer Steven Cohen just a few weeks before the 2016 election.
But Stormy’s denial is betrayed by a 2011 interview she gave InTouch Magazine that described how she and Donald Trump spent some quality alone time in 2006 while Melania was recovering from Barron’s childbirth (OK, so maybe it wasn’t quality, given that it allegedly involved her spanking the Donald with a rolled up Forbes Magazine that had his face on the cover).
Anyway, I think most folks would assume that the 2011 Stormy Daniels interview is probably closer to the truth than the Stormy Daniels statements approved by lawyers and agents in 2018. And I think most folks possess enough common sense to recognize a toady lick-spittle like Mike Pence when they see one.
So I decided to ask Republican Senators what they thought: Between Stormy Daniels and Mike Pence, who is more credible?
Here’s the result:
