Apparently seeking to correct a common misperception that he is a feminist, Donald Trump clarified to interviewer Piers Morgan that no, in fact, he was not:
Morgan interviewed the US President at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, this week and tweeted out quotes ahead of the full interview being aired on Sunday night.
Writing on Twitter, Morgan said: "President Trump has declared he is NOT a feminist."

He added: "He tells me: 'No, I wouldn't say I'm a feminist. I mean, I think that would be, maybe, going too far. I'm for women, I'm for men, I'm for everyone'."
A visibly stunned Internet swiftly reacted to this news:
The responses on Twitter have been swift, with many pointing out that Trump not being a feminist is certainly not even close to new information. "Trump saying 'I'm not a feminist' is a complete opposite of 'Breaking News,'" one person wrote. "Incisive journalism: asking a man who has said that changing diapers is 'up to the women' and who advised husbands to not 'act like the wife' if he's a feminist," another Twitter user quipped.
Others pointed out that by claiming to be “for everyone,” Trump was actually aligning himself with feminism even though he was clearly too dense to realize it:
Even Dictionary.com got in on the conversation, tweeting: "Feminist means advocating social, political, legal, and economic rights for women equal to those of men. #ItsForWomen #ItsForMen #ItsForEveryone."
But most simply took note that Trump’s is the most anti-woman Administration in modern history:
Jokes and clever tweets aside, Trump's presidential administration has continued to target women over and over. Earlier this month, Trump spoke at the anti-abortion "March For Life" rally, and his administration has consistently taken steps to attack reproductive rights with an effort to defund Planned Parenthood.

In April 2017, the Center for American Progress published a list of 100 ways Trump's policies have hurt women and families, including the attacks on the LGBTQ community, homeless youth, and low-income people. And despite Trump's claim that he is "for everyone," his presidential agenda — which includes racist stances on immigration and countless attacks on women's rights — says otherwise.
