Sometimes it seems like President Trump loyalty lies more with Russian President Vladimir Putin than America. Amid the White House Asian tour, Trump proclaimed Putin assured him that Russia did not interfere with the American presidential election.
“Every time he sees me he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and I believe that when he tells me that, he means it,” Trump told the White House Pool while on Air Force One, per The Hill reporting.
Trump continued, “I can’t stand there and argue with him, I would rather have him get out of Syria,” and “You have President Putin very strongly, vehemently says he has nothing to do with that. Now, you are not going to get into an argument; you are going to start talking about Syria and Ukraine.”
It’s clear Trump wants to partner with Russia, and anything that stands in its way will be questioned and degraded. And right now, FBI Director Robert Mueller is a problem child, because each day the investigation lingers, the more bitter Trump spirals.
Per Trump’s logic, the Russian investigation is, “…this Democratic-inspired thing.”
But it’s not just the Democrats initiating the investigation into Russia’s meddling in our election – Democrats don’t even hold any Congressional power – that privileges belong to Republicans. Both the House and Senate formed committees to investigate if Russian hacked our election, and the FBI run by Robert Mueller is investigating members of the Trump campaign, including Donald Trump.
Did staff members seek to work with Russia to hack the DNC? Did staff members forget to report on their security clearances that they worked on projects compensated by the Russians? Did staff members work with the Kremlin to create fake news and social media accounts to tarnish the reputation of Hillary Clinton? Did Donald Trump personally engage with Putin and the Kremlin as a candidate to come up with mechanisms to carry the election in his favor?
We all know that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner met with a Russian lawyer who proclaimed she had dirt on Clinton. Video exists of Trump on the campaign trail wishing for WikiLeaks to hack Clinton’s emails and release the “33,000” alleged remaining emails. And the media has credibly accused WikiLeaks of having ties to the Kremlin.
But in Trump’s world, it’s all a lie, lie, lie. It’s Fake News. Except, each day it appears not be the case: The FBI has issued a 12-count indictment against Paul Manafort and Robert Gates. Both worked on the Trump campaign, with Manafort eventually working in the White House. The Hill reports, “The charges are related to work done by Manafort and Gates on behalf of a pro-Kremlin political party in Ukraine,” and Mueller alleges “the tens of millions” made were laundered to hide payments from the United States, is one of the charges.
Former foreign policy excerpt from the Trump campaign, George Papadopoulos made a guilty plea deal with Mueller. But, again, for Trump, nothing to see here folks. Only pay attention to “Crooked Hillary,” who isn’t under investigation and isn’t the President of the United States.
“Does the Fake News Media remember when Crooked Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, was begging Russia to be our friend with the misspelled reset button? Obama tried also, but he had zero chemistry with Putin,” wrote Trump on his Twitter page.
In fact, Trump continues to plead with America that we become friends with Russia.
“When will all the haters and fools out there realize that having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. There always playing politics - bad for our country. I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!” Trump expressed on Twitter, right before lambasting “Crooked Hillary Clinton,” again.
For those confused about Trump’s “Crooked Hillary,” outburst, he’s referring to the allegations Hillary Clinton sold uranium to Russia. It’s true that under the Obama Administration, Hillary Clinton, then-Secretary-of-State team negotiated a deal with Uranium One. However, Clinton didn’t sign-off on the deal because her input wasn’t required – the nine-member Committee on Foreign Investments unanimously approved the deal. A deal most likely legal.
In Trump’s world though, Clinton, Obama, and leftists are the real criminals against democracy.
To count, Clinton and the Obama Administration likely didn’t engage in corruption with the Uranium One deal - and aren’t under investigation (to date, not on this issue). However, Trump and some of his of associates are under investigation for possibly violating a litany of laws and maybe with the help of Putin and the Kremlin. But that is to be ignored because Putin says “No” they didn’t dare to interfere in the election, even though Intelligence officials say “Yes.”
Maybe it’s pure coincidence that only the DNC and Hillary’s emails got hacked during the campaign. And maybe it’s just how things go that Putin cannot stand Clinton, but doesn’t mind tolerating Trump. After all, Trump only wants to be friends with Putin – because as Trump suggests, Putin can help with North Korea and the Syria crisis. You know the Syrian crisis the Kremlin has been aiding, not abating.
Thus, anything that stands in the way of Trump’s trust for Putin is “fake news.”
Later, Trump backtracked his statement; stating he didn't disagree with our intelligence on Putin meddling in our election – even though he did.
Still, nothing to see here folks, nothing at all. Just focus on the #MAGA, except when focusing on “Crooked Hillary.”
We’re living in Trump’s America now.
