It's official. Alabama has a Democratic senator. Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) was just sworn in by Vice President Mike Pence, along with Sen. Tina Smith (D-MN), who will finish out former Sen. Al Franken's term. Congratulations to both new senators, and may they be the harbinger of many more Democratic swearings-in next January.
Perhaps now, finally, Roy Moore will concede the election. But you shouldn't hold your breath. Last we heard, after the election was certified in Alabama, he was still insisting the election was "fraudulent." By which he means black people voted in it.
Let’s keep that momentum up.
Let's turn the Senate blue. Help future Democratic challengers with your $3.
