Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday afternoon put the onus on his own party almost entirely for passing the next government funding bill when he announced there would be no fix for some 800,000 Dreamers in the bill.
That announcement ensures that very close to zero (if not zero) Democrats will vote for the funding bill necessary to keep the government doors open past Jan. 19. Good luck with that ... especially in the House.
Big loser: Paul Ryan. And Republicans more broadly if he can’t muster the votes. Which seems entirely likely.
