Public records show that the Judicial Crisis Network spent $12 Million in support of the Kananaugh nomination. I live in the New York City media market, and I've seen at least 3 different TV ads in support of Judge Kavanaugh, several times each.
In their long tradition of dishonesty, many Republicans, particularly those on the Judiciary Committee, have declared that "millions and millions of dollars" have been spent in opposition to Kavanaugh's nomination as well. Some even mention their favorite boogey-man, the Soros-beast, is involved in financing the multiple protests against his confirmation. The king from Queens - the guy who told people that they'd be handsomely paid for attending his announcement that he'd be running for president, then stiffed those people for over a year - said at one of his rallys that the protestors were told they’d be paid, but haven't been yet, and won’t be!
The only money that I know for sure has been raised in opposition to the Kavanaugh nomination was the Kickstarter (or GoFundMe or whatever) campaign to support an as-yet-unknown Susan Collins opponent if she voted to approve, which did come to total in excess of $1,000,000 (which she calls bribery - I call it lobbying ... semantics, right?). This money was raised by ordinary citizens, not by the billionaire supporters of Judicial Crisis.
As I said, I live in one of the largest media markets, if not the largest media market, in the nation, but I never saw a TV advertisement in opposition to Brett Kavanaugh's nomination - not ONE! Have you?
When BIG money is raised in support or in opposition to a candidate or an issue, where does it go? For the most part, it goes into TV advertising.
So where, exactly, did "the left" spend all these millions of dollars that we raised, if we didn't spend it on TV? I believe that we didn't spend it on anything, because we never raised it, so we didn't have it to spend.
But, hey - maybe they simply chose not to run any TV ads in the "solid blue" states like NY and CA. Maybe TV in the south and midwest wase saturated with anti-Kavanaugh advertizing. If that was the case, I would have no way of knowing about it.
... Unless I put a poll up here to ask you folks in other areas if YOU saw any ads on TV opposing the Brett Kavanaugh nomination. Then, when I call bullshit on this issue, I will know whereof I speak!
