I am proposing a name based on the horrid event that took place in Pittsburgh--Trumpfallnacht. The word translates as "the night of the case of Trump." Why did I use a German word for this? It is to connect to the horrid historic event that happened in 1938 Germany called Kristallnacht or "night of broken glass," which was when thousands of Jewish businesses were attacked and had their windows smashed and some 100 Jewish German citizens were murdered.
It is also to associate the event with Trump and prompt us to consider the case and his connections to it through attitude, rhetoric and promotion of bigotry. It is a "case" in that it is an event that happened and it is a "case" due to its connections with this president and his actions not the least of which was his near total disinterest in its importance. And it is a "case," like the historical one, in that it marks a moment in our history that, unless we take immediate action, could be an ominous sign of things to come.
Let us remember Trumpfallnacht in the hopefully unlikely event that any similar events occur. And let us refer to it in our condemnation of this brutal monster that has infested our White House.
