Mr. Schumer and Ms. McCaskill: We shout and shame politicians in public places and paint swastikas on yard signs of Nazis exactly because Americans are not safe in their schools, supermarkets, synagogues and churches.
There is NOT ONE REPUBLICAN who should be allowed to eat in peace in a public place as long as they endorse the tyranny of Trump, the NRA, nationalists and nazis.
If we can’t walk the streets in peace (especially if we happen to be a person of color), if we can’t pray in peace, if we can’t send kids to school in peace, then not one of those irresponsible morally rotted politicians in Washington, Democrats included, should be able to escape accountability, starting with people spontaneously heckling them in restaurants or rallies et al.
As a reminder whose side the old Dem guard is on:
Chuck Schumer: ”Make no mistake: Despicable acts of violence and harassment are being carried out by radicals across the political spectrum—not just by one side. Regardless of who is responsible, these acts are wrong and must be condemned by Democrats and Republicans alike. Period.”
Claire McCaskill: "Well, the crazy Democrats are the people who are getting in the face of elected officials in restaurants and screaming at them. The crazy Democrats is whoever put a swastika on one of Josh Hawley's signs in rural Missouri. That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about, the extreme stuff."
Note: I am urging everyone I know to vote D for damage control… because, as we can see, the Dems can be pushed around. So let’s vote them in and start exerting extreme pressure to get them to act in the interests of people and the planet… and separate from Wall Street and War. We must start looking for people who want to serve this country, not destroy the world for greed.
A lot of us in our 60s are mad as hell at the Dems and it isn’t easy to convince a lot of my friends to vote… they think it’s hopeless. Yeah. Other lifelong Dems. But being slightly less vile may buy us some time and there are people, like Bernie Sanders, Liz Warren, Barbara Lee, Maxine Waters that can help us push the rest of them to do the right things.
