As I write this, it looks like Brett Kavanaugh just might squeak by in his fight to assume a position on the Supreme Court. I hope that I am wrong, but it’s not looking good.
So, a man who tried to delay the abortion of a young illegal alien who had been raped will now have dominion over all women’s health in the United States, should a case present itself to the Court (which it will).
A lot of this man’s rulings put women’s lives in danger. They make them second-class citizens.
You might be feeling depressed and crestfallen. That’s okay. But, don’t stay that way.
What are we going to do about this? I hear about marches and other stuff like this. How about you make sure you take the day off and vote? How about you vote early and take the day off and get other people to the polls who have trouble getting to their polling districts? How about take some time this weekend (and the next four) to make calls for the candidates that support you? That’s what I do every election cycle now. It’s worth it.
We need to put focus on health care, income inequality and corruption. We have just seen an enormous example of the latter. Health care is on the ballot and a lot of folks might be surprised to learn that the Supreme Court will be ruling on another Obamacare case in the upcoming session.
Yes, there’s a lot on the line for people covered through their employers, as well as those insured through the law. If the court finds that the individual mandate is no longer constitutional and as a result, the entire Affordable Care Act must fall, about 17 million Americans would lose their health insurance, according to the Urban Institute, a left-leaning think tank. That includes millions who gained coverage through the law’s expansion of Medicaid as well as the millions more who get subsidized private insurance through the law’s marketplace. Insurers would also no longer have to cover young adults up to age 26 under their parents’ plans. Annual and lifetime limits on coverage would once again be permitted, and there would be no cap on out-of-pocket costs.

Yep, that Supreme Court.
There is also the matter of Trump’s taxes…
And while you’re at it, if you have a son or daughter in college, make sure they have stamps.
Don’t have them or you sit this one out because this whole Kavanaugh fight might have re-energized the Republican base. We might need a bigger boat.
Don’t get mad, get even.
Also, have them take a look at this…
