Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens told a crowd in Florida today that Brett Kavanaugh’s angry performance before the Senate Judiciary Committee should disqualify him from the Supreme Court.
Stevens spent 35 years on the Supreme Court, from 1975 to 2010. Only two other judges in American history served on the Supreme Court longer than Stevens. He joins more than 1,700 law professors and the National Council of Churches (representing more than 40 million Americans) in asking the U.S. Senate to reject Brett Kavanaugh.
And who is still sticking by Brett Kavanaugh? The good ol’ boys.

More from Lulu Ramadan at the Palm Beach Post:
Stevens, a lifelong Republican who is known for falling on the liberal side of several judicial rulings, praised Kavanaugh and one of his rulings on a political contribution case in the 2014 book “Six Amendments: How and Why We Should Change the Constitution.”
“At that time, I thought (Kavanaugh) had the qualifications for the Supreme Court should he be selected,” Stevens said. “I’ve changed my views for reasons that have no relationship to his intellectual ability … I feel his performance in the hearings ultimately changed my mind.”
