Thanks for reading. Sorry if it sucks! Let me know. Thanks. Peace people.
I’m writing my first diary ever about anything about why it’s so important that Rep.Fudge talked with Rep.Pelosi before going full in on challenging her. It speaks highly of Fudge’s political negotiation skills, right? The fact she’s going to run a newly revised committee or sub committee on elections or voting — see I have to do some work which I’ve been doing for 12 hours already today so maybe I should have waited — is really cool.
But It’s getting to the point that the main claim to having done something by the Republican Party is their preventing people from voting. We have to not wait until a year or two but really address this issue now. And is today the most historical day in this country or what!
I’m worried about the Senate election in Mississippi because it’s pretty well known that Black folks get messed with when they try to vote there. But that isn’t any different from New Jersey where I grew up in Wall Township where they just have learned to hide their KKK get togethers and racist acts. We need this all over the country, not just in one state. Some of the basements and hidden rooms I’ve seen rival some museums with their Nazi and racist items.
So now I hope that all the others that signed that letter get some experience running some sub-commitees so we can who they really are, and they can get some experience. I get that some of these guys want power and the ability to move things quickly (I hope more of the second option)
But even with the current Republican controlled congress they couldn’t even do what lots of them really wanted to do. So we have to work together. I was so pissed off about this public fighting it really forced me write about it. What did these 16 or however many people think they could get done? These aren’t all new people from what I can see either,so a big Thank You to the women like AOC and Fudge and Pelosi for using their smarts and skills for asking hey wait what do these people actually want, and why don’t we resolve this among ourselves?
I don’t know why a lot of people actually voted, but I know what most of them including my Republicans friends said the reason was they voted for Democrats around the country — including in Staten Island where Max Rose won and I have a lot of friends. Not like I have thousands of friends or anything but they all talked about health care and social security and the big mess ups by the current congress in letting veterans get yanked around.
That’s what they meant when they said they supported seeing things shook up. I really don’t think they gave much though to Nancy Pelosi being in the way of anything. I also don’t think many other peopler were thinking about much else but taking back the country from the President that thinks he’s a king and his servants in the House. and Senate so we can get health care, take care of our older parents, and bring up our. kids in a non-toxic environment in The White House and our environment.
And yeah, I would love if Election Day were a day off because I had to forfeit a week’s worth of pay to vote. That’s wrong. Actually, seriously fuct up. But I had to. So how about some of the other guys having issues with Rep. Pelosi help me and Blacks and in New Jersey Latinos as well and people in red states and ex-felons and older people to vote.
