As hard to believe as it may seem, the Big Day is upon us. Tomorrow is Election Day. It’s going to be our first chance as an electorate to put the skids on the Trump runaway train.

Much has been said about 2018 being the most important midterm election of our time, and it absolutely is. Possibly not just midterm. And with so many women’s issues on the table, it’s no hyperbole to say that this is the Year of the Woman. Women statistically turn out to vote more than men do, and I’m hopeful that that’ll be the case this year.
.
But let’s give a tip of the hat to this guy. (President Barack Obama
He’s the one who led us out of the Dubbya wilderness, rescued us from a second Great Depression, kept us safe from terrorism, environmental collapse and all enemies, foreign and domestic. And he did it all without a soupcon of assistance from across the aisle.
.
And tomorrow marks TEN YEARS since We the People took a gamble on him. And man, did that gambit pay off. He turned out to be by far the best president in my 66.5 years. He was the right person for the job, at just the right time. And the proof is in the pudding.

All you have to do is look at where the country was 10 years ago, and where it was when he graciously handed Trump the keys to the White House on January 20th, 2017. Then compare that to the chaos and division we’ve witnessed since.

Pundits often use the pendulum as a metaphor for political change. But if we were to apply it to intellect, dignity, integrity, temperament, knowledge and basic human decency, no pendulum has EVER swung that far overnight. Trump has literally spent two years systematically unraveling every moral standard, plus every social program, international treaty and environmental protection that contains Barack Obama’s signature.

With gavel in hand, a Democratic controlled House of Representatives will put an end to Trump’s demolition derby.

So come tomorrow, let’s win this one in the names of our mothers, our wives, our sons and daughters, the victims of gun violence, our posterity—and the guy who entered our lives and made us all proud one historic decade ago. I am CONFIDENT that good will prevail over evil.
