I got curious if Trump’s sudden need for Republican candidates to “embrace” meant more than just movie script or perhaps real life mob language for “subservience” to him.
The answer is, basically, yes. The specific phrase I found refers to a business practice.
Wikipedia explains the concept of “embrace, extend, and extinguish” as a larger business creating a rip off of a produce or service created by a smaller business The larger business then extends their version with improvements or additional functions to the point that the smaller business with money cannot keep up with add ons so can’t compete and is forced to allow its product or copyright to be subsumed (embrace) by the larger business or risk going out of business — being extinguished.
So is Orange Judas inferring that he will “extinguish” Republicans who do not “embrace” him. Isn’t that exactly what his intention was in taring Republican party supported candidates who did not kiss his fill in whatever suits your imagination.
His snotty blowing off of R’s who lost and had not “embraced“ him sure sounds like it
Dictator wann be, much? Oh! fill in your own expletive Yeah!
Will this stimulate not Trumper Republicans to organize to protect themselves and, if office holders or party apparatchiks, to act to protect themselves even at the expense of dividing the party. Kind of a reverse Tea Party effect.
Republicans need to remember Trump takes over other businesses and destroys them because he’s side of the embrace is toxic.
