Hi,
A group of us enthusiastic political junkies who have been engaged in all things election but in particular our own Democratic Presidential Primaries, have decided to create a group/forum to discuss those NEW candidates that have not run before, are fresh, and may need some introduction to the rest of the community and beyond. We have done an internal polling and have come up with our list of candidates that we will spotlight with diaries
these diaries will be three main categories
1. Biography
2. Policy Positions
3. updates since the last diary about that candidate was posted.
This disqualifies from these series previous nominees, our those who have run in previous primaries.
the list is not set on stone but this is what the majority has agreed upon… some have already assigned diaries, others not…. if interested in the project just ask anybody in the group and we can go from there. (Taken) means a diarist has been assigned.

Pete Buttigieg
South Bend Tribune
An Iowa liberal political group announced Thursday that Mayor Pete Buttigieg will be one of several “potential presidential candidates” for 2020 keynoting a Dec. 20 event, but Buttigieg said Thursday he won’t likely reveal his plans for next year until the end of December.
Buttigieg will speak at the sixth annual Progress Iowa Holiday Party in Des Moines, along with Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-California and Andrew Yang, an entrepreneur who has never held office and already has launched a campaign website.
It will be Buttigieg’s second political trip to Iowa, the state whose unique election year caucuses traditionally offer a first look at the presidential field. Buttigieg also spoke at Progress Iowa’s Corn Feed event in September 2017.

CBS News
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is nearing a final decision about a possible 2020 presidential campaign, signaling Thursday that he has thought deeply about how the Democratic Party should approach President Trump in the coming years.
"Before, you know, I was thinking about it, but not as hard as I am now," he said, adding later that he expects to make a final decision "in this first quarter of the coming year."
