Cadet Bone Spur’s Monday intelligence “briefing” must have included a picture of Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas giving us a big middle finger, since it was revealed by a Russian news agency (naturally) that soon after Trump was on the phone with his favorite Russian Vladimir Putin, hoping Uncle Vlad can smooth things over with the Palestinians.
While Putin was able to convey Trumps “best wishes” the meeting today in Moscow between Abbas and Putin reportedly did did not go well from the American perspective:
We state that from now on we refuse to cooperate in any form with the U.S. in its status of a mediator, as we stand against its actions,” Abbas told Putin at the start of talks in Moscow.
Abbas also wants a new negotiating structure to replace the current plan which was brokered by the United States. He advocates a negotiation process similar to the plan that produced the international agreement with Iran to limit its nuclear weapons research in exchange for the lifting of sanctions and other incentives.
