There has been a lot of coverage on who Carter Page was in terms of his role in Russian businesses and how they were affected by sanctions against Russia.
As Trump and his campaign tried to disavow even knowing who the man was, even though he had been named as a Trump foreign affairs advisor, it’s this attempting to erase his involvement that establishes that there was a full knowledge that what he was doing was toxic and unacceptable if not illegal.
The GOP effectively turned klieg lights on this when it was actually rather under the radar. I’m sure Mueller is making full use of this useful idiot, but the GOP will not be nearly as effective at spinning the nothingness about this guy and what he was doing before the campaign, during the transition, and after Trump was inaugurated. His footprints would appear to be all over business deals before sanctions were lifted, not to mention meetings about Trump favoring lifting of sanctions before, during transition, and after inauguration.
Carter Page will have a life that never would have happened had it not been for Nunes playing stupid transparency games…
And I’ll speculate just a bit further here. Who wrote that memo? From what we can gather now Nunes hasn’t even read the material he’s cherry picking his crap from. My guess is that the white house saw the classified intelligence Nunes was given, and it was written by someone or multiple people in the administration. If I’m wrong there it’s still more than likely that when the memo went over to the white house for review it was the white house that altered the memo.
This thing, likely to be attributed to Trump was brought on by Trump. It is an administration destroying nuclear bomb that they torched of all by themselves.
The harder republicans fight this the stupider they are going to look
