Democrats are well-positioned to retake the House, a recent poll reveals.
Democrats hold a 15 percentage point lead over Republicans in a generic House ballot, according to a new Quinnipiac University Poll released Tuesday.
A majority of those polled, 53 percent, said they would like Democrats to win control of the House in this year’s midterm election. Thirty-eight percent said they would like the GOP to keep control of the lower chamber, while nine percent said they did not know or did not provide an answer.
There was some recent speculation that the political winds had been redirected by rising pro-Trump sentiment following many being convinced by the massive size of their tax returns, allowing them to collectively buy millions of Costco memberships, and perhaps even take the wife to McDonalds for Valentines Day to boot with the newfound bonanza. But the Trump boom was short-lived.
Of course we can’t take anything for granted. That’s why I contributed yesterday to Randy “Ironstache” Bryce, who is taking the fight to Paul Ryan.
