According to sources, cited by Axios and the Washington Post, John Dunkin’s name is in the mix to head up the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Who is John Dunkin, you ask? He’s Donald Trump’s personal pilot since 1989. But don’t worry, just like all of Trump’s other great picks, Dunkin must be qualified.
“John Dunkin isn’t just a pilot,” an unnamed administration official told Axios. “He’s managed airline and corporate flight departments, certified airlines from start-up under FAA regulations, and oversaw the Trump presidential campaign’s air fleet, which included managing all aviation transportation for travel to 203 cities in 43 states over the course of 21 months.”
But if you need the real seal of approval, just ask Trump.
“I have a pilot who's a real expert,” Trump said at the meeting. “My pilot, he's a smart guy, and he knows what's going on.”
Great. In the pile of “experts” Trump has chosen over the last 13 months, it’s hard to believe Dunkin’s first order of business wouldn’t be to make flying only available to people who can prove germanic blood lines.
