If the images below were from another country, they’d be called radicals, extremists. People would be calling for investigations, interventions, asking where these people were radicalized? Unfortunately, the answer is Pennsylvania, where the World Peace and Unification Sanctuary in Newfoundland held a ceremony to bless assault weapons. Just like Jesus would’ve done. The community was so alarmed, they canceled classes at a nearby elementary school. Nevertheless, the school went forward and here are the images.
Check out this bonkers church service, where members donned crowns, many of the crowns were made from bullets, and clutched their precious assault weapons. Here’s a bit of info on the church from The Times-Tribune, images from the ceremony are below.
The Rev. Sean Moon leads the church. He said in a prayer that God gave people the right to bear arms. Moon is the son of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, a self-proclaimed messiah who founded the Unification Church, often described as a cult.
The sanctuary believes the AR-15 symbolizes the "rod of iron" in the book of Revelation, and encouraged couples to bring the weapons to the ceremony. An AR-15 was used in the Florida high school massacre.
