Speaking at a manufacturing plant in Ohio, Donald Trump wandered into a review of his own State of the Union speech, saying that he got “very good” reviews. However, he was clearly displeased by the fact that Democrats—like the opposing party in every other State of the Union speech ever—didn’t bounce to their feet and cheer when he handed them applause lines.
How displeased?
“They were like death. And un-American. And someone said ‘treasonous.’ Eh, why not? Can we call that treason? Well, why not? They certainly don't love our country very much."
Not clapping for Donald Trump equals treason. Does that make it clear enough?
Trump then sneered at the idea that he was expected to negotiate with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. Because … treason.
