After spending a short tenure as one of the front page writers here I moved over to Salon where, for the most part, I write exclusively. I also host a podcast which has become a type of informal Trump University—except that folks are not scammed out of their money and there are actual experts who want to help the global public understand the disaster that is Trump’s regime.
This week my podcast features Melvin Goodman. He served in the Central Intelligence Agency for 24 years as an intelligence analyst where he specialized in U.S.-Soviet relations.
Dr. Goodman is also the author of several books on national security and international relations including the most recent Whistleblower at the CIA: An Insider's Account of the Politics of Intelligence.
He and I discuss what likely transpired with Donald Trump and Russia's efforts to undermine the 2016 presidential election, the so-called "deep state", Putin's real plans, and how Trump's failures will help China's rise to become the world's dominant power. Melvin also reflects on the nuclear perils of the Cold War and how America would be a much better place if the misadventures in Iraq and the Middle East had been avoided.
In this week's episode, I continue to document Trump's and the GOP's war on the American people and how I am sickened by the professional smart people in the so-called "liberal news media" who laugh at the Great Leader's dangerous antics. During this week’s podcast I also share a story about sexual psychology and Trump's alleged pee pee fetish. And at the end of this week's podcast I am bored by the 2016 Oscar's and decide to share some white supremacist movie reviews about The Shape of Water and other Hollywood films.
