First, I want to thank everyone who rallied to help me with the early March bills and rent, as well as restoring the money I’d had to borrow from the apartment fund to cover boarding my kitties while I was in the hospital. You are all so very much appreciated.
At the time of that effort, I only included what was needed immediately (for rent, bills, some personal expenses, & the apartment fund money). After paying all the bills, I was actually able to make the remaining personal expense cash last longer than I had thought I could simply because I’ve been dealing with the effects of several medications that made me extremely sleepy, so I have been making do as much as possible.
However, I am now at the end of resources (literally down to $6), with a whole lot of month left. I still have to buy approximately 1/3 of my own wound care supplies (due to Medicaid limitations), and all my OTC meds — both of which are hugely expensive. In addition, I’m nearly out of all the household basics, from toilet paper to laundry & body soap to cat food/litter (can’t have unhappy pooties!). Then there’s gas to continue getting to/from my wound clinic appointments, supplemental food (SNAP benefits came in on Monday, and I spent most of them on Tuesday stocking up for the rest of the month on protein-rich foods per doctor’s orders — but still need to purchase perishables like milk regularly).
On top of all that, I find that I am desperately in need of replacing a few items of clothing. I can’t remember the last time I bought any kind of clothing for myself. Most often, for outerwear and non-work clothes, I go to the thrift store/2nd hand shop, and I plan to do that now to replace a pair of jeans that are completely unwearable, and two sweaters that have been worn/washed so much they are more holes than knit.
However, what I need most right now is a couple of good bras and some other “unmentionables”. I cannot buy these used, for obvious reasons. I also can’t order the bras online, as I’ve found that sizes are not always compatible across brands/stores… so I have to physically go to the store and try them out.
Bras for me are not cheap because I’m (quite unfortunately) generously endowed (which contributes to my back problems) — which means they have to be properly constructed to provide maximum support. Usually I have to spend a minimum of $15 for just one, and at this point I need at least 2-3, as all the ones I have currently are completely worn out (they’re all over 4-5 years old). Two are so far gone that I’m holding them together with safety pins.
So what I’m hoping is to raise $650. Of that, the first $500-550 is for household needs, medical needs (wound care and OTC meds), gas for clinic visits, and supplemental food expenses. The other $100 is to obtain a few good bras, some underwear, and then use whatever’s left to replace the jeans and sweaters at the Salvation Army store.

I know this has been a difficult month, with many fundraising requests for various members. That, in addition to my own health issues, is why I waited this long. But I can’t wait any longer. I literally won’t make it through the weekend without some help. Even if all the funds can’t be raised at once, anything that comes in will help at least with gas and meds through the weekend, and the rest will *hopefully* work itself out.
Thank you all — so very, very much.

Update #2 —
The goal is now down to $500. It may end up being a bit less, since some of the items I’d need were ordered from my Amazon wishlist, but I won’t know which items, or how much to adjust the goal, until they arrive.
If it turns out that more comes in than I need for the expenses and clothing items, any leftover will go toward April’s expenses.
Thank you once again to everyone who has helped, whether by donating, ordering from the wishlist, sharing the links, or just sending good thoughts. It ALL matters!!
