Is this legit? Do I need to try this out on one of the many reminders I receive in email that I have inherited vast sums of dollars?
I learned a bit this week. It began with the irony of maga. The fool that is the mark of a con.
One of the things about a con is that it is very difficult for the person that is the mark to admit to themselves they have been conned. They have invested dollars, time, and energy in believing the con. That at some point there will be a payoff for them. That this person with whom they have placed their trust and confidence will do as they said.
That is the irony of it. MAGA is the mark. Those that bought into making America great again were conned. I know I am preaching to the choir here at the Great Orange Satan, but it bears some discussion. I think that caveat about being conned is part of why there is a reluctance on the part of some voters to abandon their traditional R votes. To admit that this candidate has conned them, that the party they have voted for is using them is to admit to themselves that they are fools.
so we have 30% of the country, give or take, that is sold into the con no matter how many of us tell them to not send their money to some scammer on an email. There is no inheritance, there is no lottery to claim, their is no one at the other end of the yahoo.
They have been played.
We know this. It’s been a phenomena for years that the working class voter would vote against their own interests by voting for the GOP or avoiding the process entirely. How many of them are going to sit home and not bother to vote in the primary?
I hope fewer this year. I want to see the numbers we have shown so far to continue. The backlash is coming from us this time. Carry on the good work my friends.
