Sam Nunberg is the witness being subpoenaed By Robert Mueller for communications going back to 2015 among thirteen #TrumpRussia persons of interest.
He claims with a Katy Tur interview (the choice of Tur is also interesting) that he will resist the subpoena. He then did the rounds of non-FoxNews (conspicuous omission) outlets dropping various memes (no pee tapes, etc.).
Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg: "I think they may... I think he may have done something during the election."
Sam Nunberg tries to do his best Carter Page impression, except that Sam really does know stuff, or at least his emails will document some currently interesting questions from Watergate now relevant for Biglygate:
“What did the President(-elect) know, and when did he know it”
The reality of this stunt might be lawfare from Trump’s ten-million dollar lawsuit trying to retaliate against Nunberg over his leak regarding Hope Hicks and Corey Lewandowski. Considering Nunberg’s associations, it perhaps is even more elaborate in being orchestrated by Roger Stone himself. Squid pro quo. The next interesting interview would be the one with Stone, or more interesting, with Assange. We’ll know more if Sam flees to DC’s Ecuadorean embassy.
CNN quotes Nunberg’s lawyer, Andrew Miltenberg, as saying that Nunberg is being accused of violating confidentiality provisions “by talking about Donald Trump after he was no longer associated with the campaign” and added that the alleged violations have to do “with information within the campaign and relationships between the various people within the campaign.”
Washington Post political reporter Robert Costa says Nunberg is an associate of Roger Stone, a controversial top political adviser of Trump’s who also left the campaign.
Nunberg is no Scooter Libby and not a smoking gub(sic), but is now the front-runner for the lead in a remake of “Take the Money and Run”, only this time, the stick-up note is not about being in possession of a gun/gub, but being one gub(sic) in a smoldering arsenal of #TrumpRussia.
