The North Lincoln County Historical Museum in Lincoln City, Oregon has two floors of displays relating to local history.
One of the Museum displays deals with dairy and canning. Most of the Euroamerican families had a cow or two. This meant that milk, cream, and butter were plentiful and some of the women also made cheese. The cheese was a way to use surplus milk and some people took their cheese to Portland to be sold.
