Just received this e-mail today from Braddock Mayor John Fetterman’s (D. PA) Lt. Governor campaign:
In 2016, I was one of the first mayors in Pennsylvania to endorse Bernie Sanders for President, because he was the candidate willing to take on the status quo, address systemic inequality, and fight back against our broken campaign finance system.
And now, I'm proud to say that Bernie is joining our fight here in Pennsylvania, and has officially endorsed our progressive campaign for Lt. Governor!
This is huge (YUGE), because Bernie is one politician who has always had the back of the little guy — the ones who've been written off, counted out, or left behind. And in places like Braddock, where I've been Mayor for 12 years, I've seen what happens when these places get forgotten by the establishment: they lose opportunity, they lose resources, and worst of all, they lose hope.
By teaming up with people like Bernie who are fighting to protect the working class, pushing for better wages, and demanding that corporations pay their fair share, we can start to build back up the platforms that communities in Pennsylvania lost decades ago, and make sure that real people — not wealthy corporations or special interests — are the ones driving policy decisions in Harrisburg.
I’m proud to know that Bernie has my back in this race, and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure we run this campaign the right way: with small, grassroots donations from everyday people like you. So I have to ask:
In the spirit of Bernie, will you chip in $27 (or whatever you can afford!) now to help me champion the people, places, and policies that represent real communities all across Pennsylvania?
Thank you for everything.
John

This is great news because it shows Bernie learned his lesson for not endorsing Fetterman during the Democratic U.S. Senate primary back in 2016.
By the way, Fetterman picked up another endorsement today that did back his 2016 U.S. Senate campaign:
The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws Political Action Committee (NORML PAC) has announced its formal endorsement of John Fetterman for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania.
“Mr. Fetterman has been an unrelenting champion for reversing Pennsylvania’s failed and draconic policies when it comes to marijuana,” stated NORML PAC Executive Director Erik Altieri, “He understands the absolute devastation prohibition has wrought on families across the state, most acutely in already marginalized communities. Having John Fetterman as Lieutenant Governor would be a huge step forward in advancing civil liberties and racial justice in the Keystone State, we are proud to support his candidacy and call upon voters to cast their vote for him in the upcoming primary and then send him to Harrisburg in November. Together, we can make real progress towards sensible marijuana policy in Pennsylvania.”
Upon receiving the NORML PAC endorsement, Fetterman said, “I will never shy away from the doing the right thing, and fully legalizing marijuana is the right thing for Pennsylvania. We should go full-on Colorado. It’s a simple solution to the devastation I have seen first-hand of the Opioid Crisis, and the disproportionate impact of mass incarceration on communities of color. As Lt. Governor I will be the leading voice on this issue in Harrisburg.”
Let’s keep up the momentum. Click here to donate and get involved with Fetterman’s campaign.
