Yes, the White House appears to be so desperate for applicants to fill the plethora of positions now open, that they’re participating in a Capitol Hill Job Fair.
It promises that “representatives from across the Trump administration will be there to meet job seekers of every experience level.” A person familiar with the planning said that Johnny DeStefano, who oversees the White House personnel department, and Sean Doocey, a deputy assistant to the president for presidential personnel, are expected to be on hand, among other officials from the West Wing.
The flyer lists positions open in the White House as well as a handful of government agencies including Defense, Interior, Commerce, Homeland Security, Health & Human Services, NASA, Energy, and Treasury.

“There are positions currently open and we are looking for the most competent conservatives to recommend,” the flyer, shared with POLITICO, reads.
The White House is out begging for job applicants. Kind of like Trump, when he was out begging for lawyers. Hey, why not blame it on the fantastic economy! Negative unemployment at the White House!!
Don’t think they won’t.
You have to start wondering if people consider present employment at the White House, a “career-killer?”
Reasons why people are leaving, range from the apparent to the obvious………..
“President Trump has gone overseas to embark on some of the most consequential diplomatic negotiations of his tenure, threatening an all-out trade war with allies and seizing a chance to make peace with a nuclear-armed menace,” the New York Times reports.
“But back home, he left behind a West Wing where burned-out aides are eyeing the exits, as the mood in the White House is one of numbness and resignation that the president is growing only more emboldened to act on instinct alone.”
“Mr. Trump, a former reality television star, may soon be working with a thinned-out cast in the middle of Season 2, well before the midterm elections… The turnover, which is expected to become an exodus after the November elections, does not worry the president, several people close to him said. He has grown comfortable with removing any barriers that might challenge him — including, in some cases, people who have the wrong chemistry or too frequently say no to him.”
Perhaps they are also looking for applicants for “ripped-up document repair?”
Three have recently been fired.
Only “fine people” (whites) need apply?
Solomon Lartey, who said he was abruptly terminated from his job as a records management analyst in March, said he spent at least several hours each day with tape piecing together the torn letters, memos and invitations Trump cast aside.
"We started getting these shredded papers, notes and everything," Lartey told CNN in an interview on Monday. "We used to have to piece together all of these torn papers, and we weren't supposed to tell anybody."
Lartey said his supervisors "only wanted a few people" involved in the painstaking process of putting Trump's papers back together -- a process he likened to "an adult puzzle."
"I guess they didn't want to get it out," said Lartey, who had worked in the White House since the Clinton administration. "When (chief of staff John) Kelly came in, they were leery of the leaks."
Lartey said the most frequently shredded items that came across his desk were news articles -- specifically, ones that depicted Trump in an unflattering light.
"If it was negative, it was definitely going to get torn up," Lartey said. "But it's a Presidential record."
