NJ-11 (R): The AP has called the race for Assemblyman Jay Webber, an ardent Trump backer. He’s currently beating wealthy businessman Peter De Neufville 41-33. He’ll take on Democrat Mikie Sherrill, who’s proven to be a monster fundraiser, for this GOP-held open seat that Trump carried by just a single point in 2016.

NJ-02 (R): The AP has called the race for attorney Steve Grossman, who has a 40-31 lead on businessman Hirsh Singh with 90% reporting. After decreeing his party’s field here a “recruitment hole,” NRCC chair Steve Stivers later walked back his remarks and declared that Singh was “an impressive candidate with a compelling personal story.” He should have stuck with his original remarks. Anyhow, Grossman will face state Sen. Jeff Van Drew for this open GOP-held seat, a top pickup opportunity for Dems.

AL-02 (R): The AP has called a runoff between Rep. Martha Roby and ex-Rep. Bobby Bright. Roby has just a 39-29 lead on Bright, a former conservative Democrat who has reinvented himself as a full-blown Trump fanboy. Roby, by contrast, angered Trumpists when she rescinded her support for their man after the “grab them by the pussy” tape surfaced. For an incumbent to take such a low vote share in the first round is a pretty ominous sign for the second.

IA-Gov (D): Another AP call, this time for wealthy businessman Fred Hubbell, who is crushing his nearest opponent, Cathy Glasson, 55-19. He'll take on Gov. Kim Reynolds in November in a state that swung sharply to Trump two years ago.

MT-Sen (R): With 15 percent reporting, former district judge and state legislator Russell Fagg has a very narrow lead over state auditor Matt Rosedale (33-31). Al Olszewski and Troy Downing are well behind, scoring in the high teens. The winner faces two-term incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Tester in November.

IA-03 (D): EMILY’s List-backed businesswoman Cindy Axne is the winner here, per the AP. She’s currently crushing insurance company owner Eddie Mauro 57-24 and will take on GOP Rep. David Young in November. Like every district in Iowa, this one slid rightward at the presidential level in 2016, but if it snaps back, this could be a pickup for Team Blue.

AL-Gov (R): Gov. Kay Ivey, who was elevated to her post last year after Gov. Robert Bentley resigned in disgrace (remember that whole scandal?), has won the GOP nomination without a runoff, says the AP. She has a 56-26 lead over Tommy Battle with 72% reporting. Her Democratic opponent is looking like Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, but there’s been no call in that race yet.
