“I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure” is one of those great Mark Twain quotes he never said. He said a lot of memorable things, but that just didn’t happen to be one of them. You can read about the real quote from Clarence Darrow in this Atlantic article from several years ago.
The quote is so good I just don’t want it to go to waste. Of course, we do not wish anyone harm here at DKos, but it is undeniable that there are people we talk about everyday whom we would not be sad to see gone. I have long contended that we could retire the national debt if, when Dick Cheney passes, we charge $5 a person to piss on his grave. (Republicans would object, but they never did care about the debt anyway.)
I have a not-so-inclusive voting ballot of people who seem to generate a lot of hatred and anger, especially here on the left. The first six on the list are people I could, frankly, do without. The others are there for any Trumpish or other lurkers to vent their twistedness.
