Since it’s an hour past the normal start time of Dawn Chorus and no diary has yet appeared, I’m guessing we had no one assigned Dawn Chorus duty today. Consider this an open thread.
I’ve no new birding insights to report or photos to share because some idiot broke into my car by smashing to smithereens my passenger side window and said idiot stole my camera. My insurance claim is being processed.
The bird you see up top is a Vermilion Flycatcher. It’s a vagrant for my area and birders flocked to see it and photograph it when it showed up a couple of years ago. He’s a beauty. More common flycatchers that you might see in your neck of the woods are the Black Phoebe and the Say’s Phoebe.
Got any flycatchers in your area? What else are you seeing? Tell us what’s going on in your birding world and consider this an open thread.
