A Quinnipiac Poll (rated A- by 538) released today shows Americans in stark disagreement with Trump over Russia, NATO, and the Mueller investigation. Overall, the poll finds Trump’s job approval/disapproval now to be 38-58% (-20%) compared with Q’s June 20 poll where it was 43-52% (-9%). Significantly, the poll finds that Trump’s blue collar white base has eroded badly.
US voters believe the Helsinki summit was a failure for the United States by 52-27% and that Trump was not acting in the best interest of the United States by 54-41%.
Further, 68% of voters are "very concerned" or "somewhat concerned" about Trump's relationship with Russia and by 55-31%, voters believe that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is conducting a fair investigation into possible collusion.
As to NATO, voters also strongly disagree with Trump. By 78-16%, voters say Trump should defend all of America's NATO allies.
As to Trump’s blue collar white base, the poll finds Trump’s approval/disapproval down to 49-47% (+2). This compares to a +21 (57/36%) approval last month.
