“Tell me, Father. How shall I know when the Great Unravelling has begun?”
“Look not for great signs and wonders in the sky, my Son.”
“Then, how shall I know, Father?”
“Look for an extra flutter in the sparrow’s wing.
Listen to the cries of children seeking their Mothers!
Hear the little voice seeking to be heard over the Evil King’s great din!
The sparrow will speak to you, my Son, and I pray you’ll listen.”

It was not so long ago that a young writer named Sulzberger visited the r-aging King. He spoke to him:
“Oh, King. I pray you ... your voice calls out in the wilderness. I hear it calling. Its words impel your servants to strike out against the prophets who speak words of your dangerousness.”
“You fool! You think I seek to destroy the prophets, alone. You are a fool.”

Where is the Great Seer, Teresias? Why has he not made public and certain the intentions of a King who wishes to destroy all, as his own powers are waning? Why has he not called out from his blindness to educate … to lead out of darkness … the people?
“After me, there is nothing and to this end I bring you civil unrest.”
“As the writers fall, thus shall you all perish in the War between Gog & Magog.”
“After me there will be Tohu va’Vohu … nothing but chaotic emptiness.”
“As I speak, so shall it be. You are a fool!”

And why should we expect otherwise? A great leader of nations once asked:
“Do you wish to forfeit even that little to which your efforts may have entitled you?”
He warned us that there was but one way out:
“Only if your endeavors are inspired by a devotion to duty in which you forget yourself completely, can you keep your faith in their value. This being so, your endeavor to reach the goal should have taught you to rejoice when others reach it.” (Dag Hammarskjøld - 1957 in Markings, p. 153, 1964)
We, the People chose a leader who knows nothing of Dag Hammarskjøld’s view of the World, his Weltanschauung … but knows nothing but himself which runs counter to Dag’s naivete.
Oh, Mr. Sulzberger. I do hope your words attract attention from other warriors but I fear you’re no match for the Evil King who has nothing to lose. You are young and he has busily fucked himself (and coincidentally others) to death and can only carry on as he has and destroy all.
