Jackie Hill, the first African American woman in history to be elected in Blount County, Tennessee

Jackie Hill became the first African American woman to be elected to the Blount County, Tennessee County Commission.  She also became the first Democrat to win a district carried by Donald Trump by a margin of 58-36 since 2006.  Her win is an extraordinary example of the power of grassroots campaigns, and it shows that Democrats can win in all sorts of unexpected places if we just put in the effort.  For more information on her historic win, visit this link.
