They just can't help themselves, these Republicans. They can't stop obsessing about Obamacare repeal. In the Senate they're celebrating the death of Sen. John McCain because they think his replacement will give them the vote they need to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and Vice President Mike Pence is making it a campaign promise.
He told reporters while campaigning in Wisconsin for that state's Republican Senate candidate, "We made an effort to fully repeal and replace ObamaCare and we'll continue, with Leah Vukmir in the Senate, we'll continue to go back to that." Goddamn, but taking health care away from millions of people gets them excited. They've turned this into a regular fetish.
By all means, Republicans, campaign on this. With poll after poll after poll after poll after poll showing that healthcare access tops voters' concerns in 2018—not to mention driving Democratic victories special elections—it's good that Republicans are making it crystal clear which side they're on.
Please give $1 to our Senate and House candidates and make Republicans pay the price for sabotaging our health care.
