At some point, the wonderful citizens of the great state of Maine will stop believing Senator Susan Collins’ proclamation of moderation and take a look at her votes in issues that really matter. Collins is no different than any run-of-the-mill Tea Party Republican.
She talked a good story before voting for the huge Republican tax giveaway to the 1%. For a while, she had many people (including myself, I will sheepishly admit) thinking that she would vote the right way. But no. It was Collins being Collins.
Today’s Collinism is her public proclamation of confidence that Brett Kavanaugh would not vote to roll back Roe. Normally, this is where right-thinking people would laugh. But she’s pulls the same old baloney too many times.
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) has once again indicated that she trusts Brett Kavanaugh would uphold abortion rights if confirmed to the Supreme Court, despite what the conservative judge has said to the contrary.
“First of all, I do not believe he’s going to repeal Roe v. Wade,” Collins said in an interview released Monday for Showtime’s “The Circus.”
