This is a new development, not just in this case, but perhaps in the history of law. Senate Judiciary Committee staffers report that they have spoken to two men, each of whom believes that he — and not Brett Kavanaugh — assaulted Christine Blasey Ford, according to NBC White House correspondent Peter Alexander.
On a practical level, have you ever heard of anybody waking up one day and saying, “Oh my goodness. I just remembered this. I believe that I attempted to rape somebody 36 years ago.” If the answer is no, then ask yourself, have you ever heard of TWO people...etc.
Doppel-gangbangers from the Twilight Zone, or the Jerry Springer Show, Political Edition, starring the Eleven Stooges. Brought to you by the GOP, leadership you can depend on. The GOP, spiralling downward, ever downward into depths of corruption and mind numbing stupidity heretofore merely unimaginable, but now, right there on your silver screen, night after night.
This brings to mind the old Dire Straits song, “Two men say they’re Jesus, one of them is wrong?” How about, “Two men say ‘I never knew it would be so hard to overturn Roe v. Wade’ and we say, ‘buddy, we’re with you.”’ They’ve just gotta have Blackout Brett on the court. No matter what the price, apparently. I long wistfully for the days of Watergate, now quaint by comparison.
The 2018 White House is the Gong Show on steroids.
