It seems that there are errors in the Buzzfeed article, but it’s only a problem with the “characterization” of exchange between Michael Cohen, the document acquisition, law enforcement, and Congress. Overall, the gist has not been debunked. Unless another statement is released, we can all take a breath as Rick Wilson has suggested. This memo is just a proper move by the Mueller team to leave zero loopholes for the Trumpeteers to misconstrue and eventually use in Individual 1’s defense.
“...Specific statements... and characterizations of documents...are not accurate...” these are the keys to keep in mind as they merely point to inaccuracies that I would say are the difference between legalease and the slight poetic license that all journalists are allotted as writers and not prosecutors or lawyers. In other words, we are not talking anything so profound as misusing the Oxford comma, but something is legally amiss.
Speaking of commas, the Special Counsel’s statement irks me with its comma use. Obviously, I am a layman, prone to run on sentences, but I would never say something so important with such disregard for common use of commas….unless...there is a double meaning. I’ll let conspiracy theorists chew on that and entertain us while we twiddle our thumbs waiting for more clarity.
The whole thing reminds me, tenderly, of Twin Peaks and Agent Cooper’s experiment with a “Tibetan Method.”
*Additional shout out to Mark Frost co-creator of Twin Peaks who has been using Twitter to stand against the atrocities of the Trump Administration!
