Now that Rudy Giuliani’s star seems to be on the verge of spluttering out I thought it was worth revisiting this story from October 2nd.
Here’s the link for NYC subway riders greeted by ad hyping ‘crazy’ Rudy Giuliani’s law offices: ‘Will work when drunk!’
Excerpt: “At least I’m assuming its fake! lol,” a straphanger who discovered the “Crazy Rudy” ad told the Daily News.
The ad’s phone number leads to a belligerent voicemail, where a male voice blares, “You have called the law offices of crazy Rudy! We specialize in back channel deals, cable news appearances and will work when drunk!”
I called the number, 347-687-0436, and heard the message which was as described! It said press one to leave a message. I did but this didn’t seem to work.
We sometimes need a break from exasperated impatience and frustration with how slowly the impeachment of Trump seems to be moving. That’s why it is important to find humor in this clown-show anywhere we can.
Two comedians, Davram Stiefler and Jason Selvig of the the comedy duo “The Good Liars” came up with this: NYC comedians behind ‘Crazy Rudy’ subway ads. It is particularly delicious that this article was on the local New York City Fox5.
The comedians had the ads made themselves and put them up on their own. How long they remained up is not known, but certainly long enough to cause a stir. A story about it made into the U.K. Daily Mail.
The comedians set up a barebones website called CrazyRudyLaw.
There’s a map showing the office only a block away from the White House (center below):
I always like it when the New York Daily News publishes their great Trump covers because it is, after all, Trump’s hometown tabloid. These appear on newsstands all over the city every morning. While these subway ads may not stay up long and there may not have been too many of them, they will certainly generate word-of-mouth buzz from those who see them.
Here’s my new version:
Gotta love it!
