Well, I watched the debates, sort of, got really bored, really fast. I have heard all this before and seen the argumentation before. What I am waiting for are debates between two or three or even four candidates. Then we can have a debate that allows for more time than 15 or 30 seconds of speaking time before some rude mod cuts them off. I need to hear the meat and potato discussion, the cross the T’s and dot the I’s discussion. I need to hear comprehensive solutions and not suggestions or conjecture and then tell me exactly how it will be done from the ground floor to every level as its being built from idea to completed project. I need to see the blueprint and screw the idea without a backup plan because that never works as we have seen in this administration. Flying by the seat of the pants is just that flying when what we need right now is a down to earth, solid presidential leader firmly grounded in constructive, professional, ethical and comprehensive leadership accompanied by compassion and honesty.
So, in conclusion, the debate was entertaining but not very informative. I like all of the ideas to a certain extent and would like to see many implemented but I would have to see, understand and know in detail the breakdown. The money and the end result tell the tale. What areas of the nation do an idea help and what areas will that same idea obstruct or harm and so forth. There is always a positive and a negative to every idea and all must be considered before a hasty decision is rendered. I look forward to a smaller more intimate debate down the road.
And that is my brief but unspectacular take on tonight’s debate.
