This diary is to say thank you so very much to each and every person who read my last diary, to those who recommended it, those thinking good thoughts and offering prayers, and to those who were able to send anywhere from their balance in PayPal to the amount I needed to pay off my car insurance, to get me through the time until I (OH PLEASE!!!) get the job, and then those tough weeks until I see a paycheck!
I know thanks to the friend who told me about the opening that the hiring manager was out until early next week, so I am trying to be patient… How patient can I BE after waiting 40 days for that first “high level” phone interview??
I wanted to let you know I’ve taken some of the money and ordered a big package of underwear and two blouses — all 50% off their regular price; Since I am a multiple-X sized woman, they tend to cost A REAL LOT, but with the discount, they were just a lot. With the clothes I have already and a plan to stop and see what might be available at a couple of Good Will stores, I should be well set so that I won’t have to wear a uniform to any new job I get. I am thinking about going to a local new store for plus-sized women and finding a nice (on sale) outfit for my in-person interview.
I still have enough to pay for my insurance and several weeks of gasoline. All thanks to you wonderful people. Plus I feel the support, the love, the crossed fingers and toes —
And that lets me dream… I will start saving with my first paycheck (that’s why I’m looking for an easy and fun to use budgeting program.) I have two paths I’m considering. In either, I am saving for a house. My friend Kathy may breed her Border Terrier for a litter next spring. If she does, I want to get into a reasonably priced apartment near my job in time to get a puppy, and continue to save for the house. If she doesn’t, I want to stay in PADS and save on rent (and food) well into next year, with puppy plans in the future.
Thank you again, everyone, and if I can continue to request — PLEASE think good thoughts for me getting this job. After all, doesn’t this:
