I always wondered why Donald Trump wanted to go into politics — a field he has no aptitude for nor knowledge of.
Consider this tweet:
First of all, Trump “hearing” something simply means the voices in his head are temporarily louder than the languorous crunching of Extra Crispy chicken skin. No one is saying that, and he’s not citing any polling. He just doesn’t like what Mitt Romney — who yesterday tweeted, “By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling” — is saying.
Secondly, uh, you can’t impeach a senator. But according to Trump’s unwavering “I’m rubber and you’re glue” policy, he kind of has to call for “impeachment” of Romney.
CNN:
Trump's tweet immediately drew questions on Twitter from people curious as to whether a senator can be impeached. The short answer is: no.
Senators and members of Congress can’t be “impeached” but they can be “expelled," according to Article 1, Section 5, of the US Constitution.
The article states: “Each House [of Congress] may determine the Rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a member."
According to Senate.gov, since 1789, the Senate has expelled only 15 members, most for supporting the Confederacy during the Civil War.
It’s not clear what Trump thinks Romney could be “impeached” or, in this case, expelled for.
It’s not clear? It’s very clear. He doesn’t like him. In Trump’s wee, unctuous lizard brain, that’s more than enough reason.
Is Trump still chafing your arse-cheeks? Then Dear F*cking Lunatic: 101 Obscenely Rude Letters to Donald Trump and its breathlessly awaited sequel Dear F*cking Moron: 101 More Letters to Donald Trump by Aldous J. Pennyfarthing are the pick-me-up you need! Reviewers have called these books “hysterically funny,” “cathartic,” and “laugh-out-loud” comic relief. And they’re way, way cheaper than therapy.
