383,000 gallons of crude oil.
Walter used a New York Times article to write his story. In the very first sentence is says:
Leaked about 383,000 gallons of crude oil in North Dakota, covering an estimated half acre of wetland.
So my question is how could 383,000 gallons ONLY cover a half acre. As teenager I worked in a gas station and the tanker that delivered the gas held about 7,000 gallons. So if you divide 383 by 7 = 54.7. I don't think you could stand on end 54.7 tankers on a half acre.
Could someone help me out here?
